Maria Rocha-Buschel is an urban planner and writer. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in urban planning at Hunter College, focusing on sustainability, transportation and open space planning. Previously, she was a reporter and executive editor for Town & Village, a local newspaper covering Stuy Town/Peter Cooper Village and the surrounding neighborhood. She is from Boston (sorry) and has been in New York for the last 15 years. She currently lives in Brooklyn and has never learned to drive.
